This website aspires to contribute toward resolving our society’s unfolding health care crisis. My proposed solutions are profoundly different from others I’ve seen discussed. I feel compelled to offer these thoughts, because I don’t believe the conventional “solutions” can work. Regardless of our vast societal resources, we face substantial immediate health challenges, and a looming demographic monster as the “baby boom” generation continues to age. We may gain a few more years (both as individuals and as a society) with modern medicine, but true solutions for our ills require a substantial change of direction.

This crusade to transform health care contains two portions:

• Technical material about classical and historical approaches to Chinese medicine, and course descriptions of seminars I’m scheduled to teach. There is an archive of previously published essays and other writings, and a weblog category of ongoing musings about the philosophy and practice of classical Chinese medicine. Seminar participants will find other weblog categories focused on each of my seminar topics, which will provide them ongoing support in realizing the awesome potential of Chinese medicine.
• General information for anyone interested in re-framing the health care challenges we face as both individuals and a society. Weblog categories on personal health and health care policy offer new ideas (to modern people) by drawing on my twenty-five years engaged in the study and practice of classical Chinese medicine.
